Cowdenbeath will continue to try and upset the more established members of the First Division by defeating visitors Dundee on Saturday.

Defender John Robertson is over the injury that has kept him out this season and has been added to manager Jimmy Nicholl's squad, leaving only the injured Dene Droudge and Danny MacKay as absentees.

Nicholl is confident Dundee can get a result given their recent improvement in performances, but is under no illusions of the challenge facing his troops.

"Dundee have some excellent players so we know we will have to keep up the good work of the past few weeks," he said. "Our boys are improving in every game and it has been really positive about our place, despite losing last weekend."

Dundee boss Gordon Chisholm has called on his players to put their off-the-field troubles behind them by claiming victory.

The club have received plenty of negative attention recently due to the planned resignation of backer and club director Calum Melville.

However, Chisholm, who his hampered by the absences of Dominic Shimmin, Charlie Grant, Mickael Antoine-Curier and, in all likelihood, David Wittevee, has urged his players to grab the spotlight for the right reasons.

"We all have to stick together at times like this," he said. "The players and I know that a win would lift the entire club. It will not be easy as Jimmy Nicholl and Colin Cameron have Cowdenbeath well organised but if we show the strength and quality that we have we will do okay."
