Chelsea's Frank Lampard looks set to miss their next three matches after a recurrence of a groin injury.
Frank Lampard has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hernia operation and looks set to miss Chelsea's next three matches.
The midfielder's slow recovery from surgery means he could be absent for Premier League games against Manchester City away and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, plus the Champions League group fixture against Marseille. He is also a doubt for England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro on 12 October.
The 32-year-old midfielder suffered a setback in training to the groin injury that was treated at the beginning of the month. This latest problem adds to Carlo Ancelotti's growing injury list at Chelsea, with Gaël Kakuta, Salomon Kalou and Yossi Benayoun all limping off against Newcastle in the Carling Cup on Wednesday.
