Ross County v Stirling - Scott back in frame
Posted Saturday, September 18, 2010 by PA
Ross County midfielder Martin Scott will return from suspension for the home clash with Stirling.
But County manager Derek Adams, whose side beat Stirling 9-0 in the Scottish Cup last February, will be without strikers Steven Craig and Andy Barrowman.
Adams reckons the big cup win will have no bearing on the result.
He said: "Stirling will be coming here confident after beating Partick Thistle last weekend and with their defeat here long forgotten about.
"We will be going all out for the win, but I cannot see it being nine goals.
"Our good play last week against Raith Rovers deserved a goal and hopefully we can play as well this time but hit the back of the net."
Stirling Albion goalkeeper Scott Christie is back in contention.
Christie, who had nine goals put past him last time the two sides met in the Scottish Cup in February, is over the illness that kept him out against Partick last week, but may find it hard to dislodge stand-in Callum Reidford.
Defenders Greig MacDonald and Brian Allison remain sidelined through injury.
Manager John O'Neill said: "Coming off bottom spot has been a tremendous lift for everyone at the club.
"We will be looking to keep that going with a decent result at Ross County and if we play like we did last week we have a chance."
