Brechin will be without suspended top striker Rory McAllister for the visit of leaders Livingston while they also have doubts over experienced duo Barry Smith and Kevin Byers.

Glebe Park manager Jim Weir is desperate for the game to start after being left frustrated against Airdrie United last Saturday.

He said: "At half-time last weekend we were top of the league but at full-time we had slipped to fourth and that was disappointing.

"Losing a late goal annoyed me but not as much as the missed chances we had as we could have had the game well won.

"Hopefully we can take our chances better and a win over Livingston will move us up a good few places."

Livingston Cameron MacDonald will not be risked when the Lions visit Brechin.

The defender made a playing comeback in a midweek reserve game after being out for over a month with a facial injury.

Livi manager Gary Bollan said: "Cameron came back in and did really well, however it is still a bit too soon for him to be starting games."

Otherwise Bollan, a former Brechin player, has a fully-fit squad to select from.

He added: "All of the players are raring to go for this game and I am looking forward to going back to a Glebe Park ground I know well.

"It will be a real test for us and picking up all three points would be a great achievement."
