Villa lost 6-0 at Newcastle on Sunday and they hope to recall Richard Dunne, Luke Young and Stephen Warnock, all of whom were unavailable for Thursday’s Europa League tie against Rapid Vienna.
After taking one point from their opening two games in the Premier League, Everton bounced back in midweek with a 5-1 Carling Cup win over League 1 Huddersfield.
Jack Rodwell scored in his first start this season and David Moyes may consider keeping the midfielder in the side.
Last season: Everton 1 Villa 1, Villa 2 Everton 2.
Stat of the game: Everton have failed to win at Villa Park in their last five attempts, drawing three and losing two.
Betting tip: Close between two teams expected to start better. Try 1-1 at 6-1.
