Cowdenbeath v Partick: Four out for Blue Brazil
Posted Saturday, August 28, 2010 by PA
Cowdenbeath's defensive trio of Jon Robertson, Dene Droudge and Joe Mbu and midfielder Danny MacKay will miss the visit of Partick.
But Dean Brett and Mark Baxter have both shaken off knocks and are expected to play.
The Blue Brazil are looking to win at Central Park for the first time this season.
Assistant manager Colin Cameron said: "We have been disappointed to lose both games at our place as gaining points at home is really important in what we want to achieve this season.
"It will not be easy against a Partick Thistle who will be out for a win after losing their last two games."
Partick player/assistant manager Ian Maxwell is included in the squad after being rested in midweek.
Young midfielder Ryan McBeth comes in after shaking off a knock but the vastly experienced duo of Jackie McNamara and Alan Archibald remain on the sidelines through injury.
The Jags are looking to find some consistency in their play and pick up their first away points of the campaign on their trip to Fife.
Maxwell said: "We have played really well against Dundee when we won here and then against Falkirk in midweek when we deserved at least to take the game to extra time. However in other games we have been really poor."
