Ayr United v Peterhead: Reid has keeper quandary
Posted Saturday, August 28, 2010 by PA
Ayr United manager Brian Reid has a goalkeeping dilemma ahead of the visit of Peterhead.
David Crawford is back from suspension but Reid could stick with 42-year-old trialist Alan Main.
Reid said: "David was unlucky to be sent off against Airdrie whereas Alan made a couple of crucial stops against Dumbarton and I have yet to make up my mind."
Defender Dean Keenan starts a two-game ban and defender Bobby Donnelly is still absent because of a hamstring injury.
Stephen McKeown and Mark Roberts need fitness checks but Ross Robertson, Hibs loanee Scott Taggart and the experienced Willie Easton are all fit again.
Peterhead defender Bobby Mann has joined striker Davie Ross on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
But Martin Bavidge is available after work commitments kept him out in midweek against Inverness Caledonian Thistle when the Blue Toon went down 3-0.
The Balmoor men have still to pick up a point, but manager Neale Cooper is not panicking
"Of course it is not a nice place to be but we have played well in our games this season," said Cooper.
"I would be a lot more worried about going to Ayr if we had not been playing as well as we have."
