It was a game packed with plenty of ups and downs tonight in Ukraine...
Ukraine held on for the win by the skin of the their teeth tonight as they played hosts to Romania as part of this week's warm-up matches leading up to the World Cup.
The home side took charge of the game early on, Lokomotiv Moscow's Oleksandr Aliyev netting after 15 minutes for the only goal of the first half.
However after the break it was the visitors who came running out of the traps, West Brom's Gabriel Tamas and Auxerre striker Daniel Niculae both finding the net midway through the second half to hand the advantage to Romania.
It was not to be though, as little known midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka managed to claw another goal back for Ukraine to bring the scores level.
The sides were battling hard, but the game was handed to the hosts when Tamas managed to put the ball into his own net on 78 minutes.
After the Tamas incident, it was a case of holding on for Ukraine, which they executed to good effect and ran out the eventual victors.
