Retailers have been taken by surprise and suppliers are unable to keep up with fresh orders, South Africa's Sunday Times reported. Brian Weyers, marketing director of Shoprite Holdings, revealed it has sold more than 10,000 footballs, while 15,000 replica Bafana Bafana shirts sold out within the first week.
