Alberto Zaccheroni is expected to leave in June, and the club have just over a month to convince Benitez. But, conflicting reports from Tuttosport on Monday suggested Juve had gievn the Reds gaffer a week to make a decision.
Furthermore, failure to qualify for the Champions League could force the club to reconsider its decision over grandiose spending schemes.
Meanwhile, Claudio Marchisio has returned to training following a knee problem he sustained against Inter. He should be fit for the weekend clash with Bari.
