John Baird returns to the Airdrie squad as they continue their run of five successive home games against Queen of the South.
The striker was suspended for the weekend win over Morton, but he is available again and could be handed an instant recall.
Midfielder Kevin McDonald remains out with a ban of his own, while Frankie Lagana continues to struggle with a groin injury.
Manager Kenny Black said: "This would be a great time to win back-to-back league games for the first time this season.
"We are now four games unbeaten at home and the players are determined that we keep the fight going longer."
Marc McAusland returns to Queen of the South's squad.
The defender has served a ban following a recent red card, but he is available again and could slip straight back into a defensive slot.
On-loan Rangers defender Jordan McMillan remains out with a hamstring problem.
Caretaker manager Kenny Brannigan, who tasted victory for the first time against Dunfermline at the weekend, knows a tough game is in store.
"I obviously enjoyed Saturday but I do not need to be told about how tricky a game Airdrie will be," he said.
"They beat us comprehensively in the cup and they are going into this game on the back of two wins in three games and fighting for their lives.
"With the sides above us playing each other we have the chance to make in-roads in the table if we win."
