Avram Grant: Portsmouth Fans Are The Victims

Avram Grant has spoken for the first time about the nine-point deduction his Portsmouth side are set to face following the administration the club has suffered.
"I believe football should be decided on the pitch," Grant told BBC Sport in the wake of Portsmouth's 2-1 victory over Burnley. "Not in the courts, not in the Premier League offices, but on the pitch.
"The fans should not be victims in this scenario. Of course we should not be docked nine points.
"All my life I have been fighting for justice and in the interests of fair play, we need football to be decided on the field. Maybe someone, somewhere will think about the fans, who have done nothing wrong.”
Portsmouth managed to give their fans a needed lift with the win, with Frederic Piquionne and a Hassan Yebda penalty giving the south-coast club all three points.
