The Argentinian says the new arrivals have impressed at the club.
Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano has declared that his team are up to the challenge posed by Barcelona this season, noting that the champions are currently enjoing "a miracle generation".
Valdano also revealed that the period of transformation at Madrid is not yet complete and added that the changes will be completed next summer.
"Barca don't lose and that forces us not to drop points. Barca currently enjoy a miracle generation. It is very difficult when a single team can have Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta and [Lionel] Messi," he told Marca before noting that his team have adapted well in the period of change at the club.
"The new coach and a change in playing style and the adaptation of eight new players gave us great uncertainty but all who have joined us have been so useful, they have all been met or exceeded expectations.
"Real Madrid have known from the first minute that Barca posed a major challenge. We made a great effort in June to transform not only the team but the club and the transformation will end next summer.
"We know whom we are competing with and we're going to fight until the end of this season and next. Madrid only play to win."
