Edman holds Helsingborg talks

Wigan defender Erik Edman is in talks with former club Helsingborg over a return to Sweden.
The 31-year-old has played just four times this season and made only two Barclays Premier League starts, one of which saw him terrorised by Aaron Lennon in the 9-1 defeat at Tottenham in November.
With first-choice left-back Maynor Figueroa having signed a new contract this month the Swede's options at the DW Stadium are limited and he is not in manager Roberto Martinez's long-term plans.
Helsingborg - Edman's first professional club - have claimed the player has already completed a move but Press Association Sport understands that declaration is premature.
Edman, whose Latics contract expires in the summer, would be allowed to leave Wigan on a free transfer to get him off the wage bill and reports have suggested he will sign a five-year contract with the Swedish club.
