Atletico Madrid coach Quique Flores praised the efforts of his side after they secured a 1-0 second leg win over Celta Vigo to book a place in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Diego Forlan got the only goal of the game after 25 minutes to secure a narrow win.
"The players were committed and played as a unit and have qualified so I am delighted for the fans," he told a post match press conference.
Flores insisted his team are on the way up and have eliminated many of the defensive errors that have proved costly so far this season and said that the goals will flow when his team gains further confidence.
"We showed a good attitude and gave away very little where we used to make mistakes. The defensive game was very strong and we made good decisions.
The attack is still in transition but I believe that with the positive results players will grow [in confidence] and goals will come. We are at a point of improvement, taking flight."
