Heinemann ready to fire up Bochum

Bochum coach Frank Heinemann has vowed to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor Marcel Koller by getting tough with his team after their 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
Koller, who was sacked last month, threatened to "run around the dressing room with a blowtorch" to motivate his players and, although Heinemann has not suggested taking such extreme action, he admitted something must be done.
"I am terribly disappointed," he said. "Not in any phase of the game did we get even close to the way we have played in the last few weeks."
He added: "We made far too many errors, did not get tackles in, didn't appear to want to run and this just played into their hands.
"Overall, we did far too little and we cannot play like this in the coming games and I will make that clear to the team."
The result may actually be Heinemann's last in charge of Bochum.
He was appointed on a temporary basis following the departure of Koller and this game was regarded as his big chance to convince the club he deserves the job full-time.
Director of sport Thomas Ernst is now expected to move into the final phase of negotiations with another candidate, who could be presented before Bochum host Werder Bremen next Sunday.
Meanwhile, Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp insisted his side deserved the credit for making Bochum look so bad at the Westfalen Stadion on Sunday.
"I am really happy with the game, and not because I feel we cannot do any better, but because we got into it well and we forced them into errors," he said. "If they made so many errors, it is because we put them under pressure."
