Zenit St Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak will undergo a medical on Sunday ahead of his proposed move to Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.
Russia international Pogrebnyak is set to sign for the 2007 German champions after the clubs agreed a fee believed to be in the region of 4.5million euros.
Pogrebnyak, whose current contract expires in December, is eager to leave his homeland and reportedly turned down a improved deal from Zenit which would have made him one of the Russian league's highest earners.
"Apart from Sunday's medical, everything is perfect," Stuttgart sporting director Horst Heldt told www.kicker.de. "We have agreed a deal with the club and the player."
The 25-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract at Stuttgart, who this week also captured Belarus midfielder Alexander Hleb on a year-long loan from Barcelona.
